Philip Remnant is the Senior Independent Director of the Prudential Plc, Non-Executive Director of Severn Trent Plc, Chairman of City of London Investment Trust Plc and a Deputy Chairman of The Takeover Panel.
Previously, Philip was a Vice Chairman of Credit Suisse First Boston in Europe and was Director General of The Takeover Panel for two years between 2001 and 2003, and again in 2010. He formerly held senior investment banking positions with BZW and Kleinwort Benson. He is a qualified chartered accountant and has an MA in Law from New College, Oxford.
He was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2011.

UKAR sells mortgage portfolio for £2.7bn
UK Financial Investments Limited (“UKFI”) today announces that following a competitive sales process, UK Asset Resolution (“UKAR”) has agreed to sell a portfolio of mortgages for a price of approximately £2.7bn.
