Jim O'Neil

Jim joined UKFI in October, 2010 as Head of Market Investments and became Chief Executive on 2 April, 2012. He is responsible for managing the Government’s shareholdings in Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) as well as managing the Governments 100% investments in UK Asset Resolution (UKAR) and its subsidiaries. He joined UKFI from Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he spent 17 years. He has extensive experience of both the capital markets and the banking industry. He joined Merrill Lynch in 1993 in New York and relocated to London in 1999. Most recently he was Head of International Corporate Finance. He holds a Bsc from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School Of Business.
